You can prevent your child from catching head lice by teaching them not to share hats,combs, and brushes. But how do you teach this to your young child? I stopped thinking in terms of "what works for most children" and I finally began to find out what works for MY child. You have to make a game out of it. Most children won't learn lice prevention by sitting in a circle in a classroom or from a book. Teach them about lice while they are being treated and explain the purpose of each step.
